Meet Beth Young

Beth has been guiding her clients to a healthier and happier life for years, in 2021 she was in a serious car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury. Thus, she experienced in a very personal way the power and hope that comes from honoring your mind and body during recovery and healing.

Beth grew up in Arizona, had a small stint in California where she met her sweetheart, Bob, and then was blessed to raise her family in Texas for 25 years. While in Texas she survived multiple hurricanes and tropical storms where she helped in a variety of recovery efforts from organizing an emergency response call center, managing the creation of hundreds or hygiene kits, and even stomping through mud and more “mucking out” flooded homes.  She now calls Utah “home.”

5 Pillars of Health

Each pillar has an impact on the health of our mind and body. These pillars include nutrition, movement, relationships, quality sleep and mindfulness.  In our healthy living classes, as each pillar is discussed, several simple changes are outlined, and attendees are encouraged to consider at least one simple change to implement in their life.

Continuing Education

We offer continuing education classes for social workers and counselors on how they can incorporate nutrition, quality sleep and mindfulness into their offerings to their clients.  Not only will they walkway with a better understanding of the effects of nutrition, sleep, and mindfulness on their patients’ recovery, but they will also have several tai chi short forms to teach them as well.

Corporate Wellness

We work with businesses to develop a custom health and wellness plan that inspires their employees to make healthy living lifestyle changes. As we collaborate with employees to assess their best next steps and set a plan for success, it impacts the mental and physical health of their staff. We provide weekly refueling and relaxation classes where we focus on and set goals related to one of the 5 Pillars of Health then practice Tai Chi and relaxation techniques.
Note: Our classes are approved for the Custom Fit reimbursement Program. Companies in Utah are eligible for partial reimbursement through this program.

Tai Chi Forms

We offer a variety of Tai Chi classes that include Beginning Tai Chi, Tai Chi for Life, Energy 1 and 2, Sun 73, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and more.  There are over 500 medical studies that have shown the many proven benefits of Tai Chi.  As our students learn and practice Tai Chi regularly, they experience a wide range of these benefits.  However, the benefit we specifically focus on enhancing in our classes is helping with general and trauma-induced anxiety.  The slow, mindful breaths and flowing, focused movements, have a calming and positive effect on the nervous system and mood-regulating hormones.  This will create the opportunity to improve our mental and physical health.
